Procrustes or the hammer was a robber positioned near Athens. He would try to persuade people to come into his house and lay on his bed. If u were to tall for the bed then you would have the limbs that hang out cut off. If you were to short bed he would stretch you until you would fit the bed. Procrustes would always have hammer on him also. Procrustes will rein terror for a long time until Theseus come and kills Procrustes with his own hammer.
