Conflict : What is Wanted: 1. Men open up bag of winds and they get blown back to Aiolia. 2. Laistrygones eat Odysseus's men and throw rocks at them . 3. Kirke turns some of Odysseus's men into pigs and put them in a pigsty. Resolution: 1. They have to row back to Aiolia. 2. Hustle back to the ships and sail away. 3. With medicinal plant ,molly, from Hermes, Odysseus is immune to magic, has sex with Kirk, and men stay happy for a year. Character Development/Character Detail: King Aiolia will not give Odysseus anymore hospitality when he finds out he is cursed.Once again Odysseus's curiosity will cause Odysseus's men to suffer and die. Curiosity in Odyssey gets stronger throughout the story. Odyssey's men have much greed in them causing them to undergo Odysseus's word. Kirke will come from a mad crazy witch to a nice scorer when she finds out it is Odyssey's. Help from the gods: Kirke houses them for a year, helps them find a way to the underworld. Eumaiosdoesn't believe the beggar about Odysseus, but he does give him a bed cloak.

Setting: Ithaka in the palace of Odysseus

Conflict = What is Wanted: 1. Iros picks a fight with Odysseus because he is challenging his food source. When Odysseus shows how strong he is Iros is frightened. Antinoos says that if Iros does not fight he will have him tortured and castrated. 2. Many of the maids are disloyal. Odysseus needs to know which people are loyal to him and which are not. Some of the maids even sleep with the suitors as they are trying to court Penelope.
Resolution: 1. Odysseus knocks Iros out. The suitors joke that they will send him to Epeiros the next day. 2. Odysseus watches which maids like the suitors and go to bed with them at night. He also looks at which maids are loyal. He does this to find out which maids to punish and which to reward.
Character Development/Character Detail: Help from the gods: Athena makes Odysseus appear strong against Iros and makes Penelope beautiful to entice the suitors.
Disguises:Athena makes Penelope more beautiful and Odysseus is still disguised as the beggar. Character: Odysseus is main charachter along with telemachos and athena and the all are going to kill all the suitors
Conflict = What is Wanted: Odysseus wants all the suitors to leave but they wont so he decides the only way it will work is if he kills them all. So Telemachus and him lock away all the weapons exept for two swords and shields for them to use. Telemachus forgets to lock the door after he goes to get more weapons and now the suitors are slightly armed but this doenst matter because Athena is disguised and a mentor and helps them win and kill everyone Resolution: All suitors are killed and Athena helps them with everything.
