Each group is to create a myth page to develop our understanding of these allusions from the Sea of Monsters.
Most of these will have direct connection to the Odyssey.
Requirements for Format
1. Provide a classic image of the myth or character.
2. Paraphrase the story from your Rouse book.
3. Offer the connection to the story of the Sea of Monsters.
4. Make a connection to the Odyssey.
5. Cite your sources in MLA format.
Recommended Approach: Divide the tasks amongst members of your group.
Suggested Roles: I. Image and Web Layout Master: choose someone who is good at finding images and who has a good sense of craftsmanship and design for each of your pages.The person will also be responsible for citing in MLA format. Our earlier pages from mythology can be a helpful reference for you. II. Rouse Grouse: this person knows exactly where his or her Rouse book is located, is comfortable with paraphrasing, and writes well. III. Sea Scout: this person knows Sea of Monsters well and can fairly easily find references because he or she has marked the text well and read carefully. IV. Mac Daddy Odyssey: This person is beginning to really enjoy the Odyssey and can understand the action of the story and is comfortable making connections in written form on the page.
